Eadweard Muybridge

Eadweard Muybridge

Eadweard Muybridge has inspired many people with his work. His work on "The horse in motion" is considered to be the first moving picture ever. It can also be argued that he created the first projector ever, because he invented a device that projected his images onto a screen.
When he was 30 he was involved in a big coach crash (hitting his head on a rock as he got thrown out of the coach) which changed his life as he struggled with mental and physical problems.
Eadweard cleverly created the movement illusion by setting up fifty cameras next to a racetrack and then made them take a picture automatically as the horse runs passed.
In his lifetime this extremely creative man invented animations, projectors and trip wires-
which were all invented in the 19th century and are all still used today.
